Thanks folks for the comments and for visiting.
Miked- Wow thanks for the words, really appreciate it. Although it took me only around an hour to finish this custom, it's 24 hour love and inspiration was poured on it. Cobra Commander deserves to have a good decent 80's cartoon accurate figure and i hope i delivered. Most people wont like it, and some people would love it but at least i did my best. Daver - Before it was painted as we all know it's only plain silver paint on it. I have seen the real chrome head and thought it's exaggerated looking in person. So i thought i'll try doing the chrome by not using a chrome paint. So the first thing i did is to paint over some thick white lines with different sizes on both left and right sides of the plate. From there i painted a 2nd tone which is light grey besides the white. And the third tone would be dark grey besides the light grey. It's up to you on how thick they may be, you have to check the placings of each lines. The last color i used was black. I drew two swerving lines to give a dark reflection. And finally i want the face plate to be shiny so i applied a clear varnish to have a glossy appearance over the painted lines on the faceplate. I wish i explained it clearly. |

Ok. So let me get this straight. Not only did you put together the COOLEST looking version of Cobra Commander I have ever seen, and did the most impressive paint job on his uniform that I have ever seen, but in lieu of having Chrome paint... now let me make SURE I'm understanding this... you actually painted a faux chrome affect on the frigging FACEPLATE!? Are you kidding me ?! That is the most amazing thing I have ever seen! Rateeg, you have taken a simple head swap repaint and turned it into the most inspirational thing I've seen in months! I'm going to be checking back to look at this over and over! Awesome job, Man! Awesome!

Wow, man. You took a figure we're all kind of tired of looking at, what with 90 versions of him released in the last couple years, and made it exciting and dynamic without really changing much. Fantastic work.
