Looks pretty close to perfect to me.
If hasbro had released this I would've considered it good enough to overlook the reuse of ther gung-ho head. |

Thanks man! Indeed it was! It was so crappy that I didn't even bother picking it up.

Nothing "groundbreaking", no, but it's still a solid custom.
I have to get around to it, but you more or less used the same formula I hope to use in the next few weeks. That Mutt vest, while not perfect, works really well and I'd have been ok with Hasbro just using the right Frankenjoe parts to get close enough. Not only was Leatherneck put together with odd parts, he had Duke slit wrists and was the "wrong" color for his first release. Your parts use is good, painting good and there's no confusion as to who it is. In fact, the only difference mine may have is fixed Duke arms, and that's it. Thanks dude! |

I know I just got off the phone telling you how great this custom is, but I figured I would post something here as well.
Man you really out did yourself this time. He looks like he was taken fresh off of a card. The paint apps look like they are factory done, but only better. This might be my favorite one you've done so far.

Thanks man...yeah I would've went with the fixed arms, but I didn't have any for him at the moment. Tell you the truth I never really minded the "slit" arms anyway. Guess it's just me, idk. And like you said, the vest isn't perfect but it is really close to the card art of what's he actually wearing as opposed to the OG figure. But anyway, can't wait to see yours man. Thanks dude! I just checked the rest of your customs and man you are an f'in talented cat!!...This is up there in the top 5! |
