If you actually had the HW Batmobile you would know it isn't 1:18. I collect 1:18 die cast cars, and the size difference between models is very noticable. You can't even fit a MASK figure in there.
The real Burton Batmobile is 23 feet long. The HW version would need an extra 6" or so in length to be accurately 1:18. (you're welcome) oh and i do have the HW burton batmobile. |

Heh. true. Size is not everything. Now.. for both, you and Darkhorse about scale.. since I work in this department all the time... A little bit of helpful information. Remember when working with scale you take the 1:## as 1 part of.. Then 1, 5, 6, 10, 12, 16, 18,22,24,25,32,35,48,64,72,100, On up.. All popular scales.. You are dividing the line between 1:1 which is full scale size or real size, breaking it down into the proper catagory. how many times smaller the product is to the real thing. 1: of 50 times the real size. 50 times smaller then. now on to the good stuff Now granted HW did state the 66 ad 89 are both in their scale range as 1:18.. this is correct in their scale. Now.. the Joes? The reason they will not fit, is cause they are 1:16 or half scale 1:17th. Set a Joe of old school, or a 25th ani.. in to a diamond select BBTF time machine, they will fit just fine. This is why most joe aircraft, ground vehicles and playsets are stunted in size. Now.. could they make a 1:8th scale Aircraft carrier? Yes but noone would beable to store it, or display it unless you have had an availble size to say fit... something larger then a couch or futon with the display base. And nearly as tall as a small gaming chair. provided they add it to the keel. Hope you have a lake to sit the carrier in. IN regards to Hotwheels and other makers of 18th scale.. Autoart, Ertl, RP2, Exoticar... The round two Ertl Joyride series .. Has a 1:22nd scale model in the form of the most popular Caddy/ Miller meteor hearse every created... Ecto-1. It is claimed to be 1:21st scale. HW before that time, didn' have a calling for that scale so 18th was used as a generic line for 18th scale car collectors.. Myself being one of those.. stopping after having 72 cars.. ran out of space.. eventually sold more then 85% of my collection. Now.. figures that DID fit in those? any of you remember ExoSquad? those figures were like mini Joes. They worked very well with the route66 , and Ertl cars.. Maisto convertibles worked, but not hard tops. There is a little bit of insight that I know of, from experiance Thanks for all who have commented on my Batmobile. Carry on
