I didn't do anything drastic here, but I essentially gave him the gear from my extra CS SE, hands from CS SE, and the head from CS SE. I prefer the CS SE head and I painted it black using one of those Elmer's Painters opaque paint markers. I only replaced the hands because the ones that came with the Rescue Mission set were too glossy to me. I painted the back of the CS SE hands black to match the rest. I also painted the end of the scabbard black to match. I know the sword isn't accurate, but I prefer the blade color to the black one. It appears we'll be be getting an accurate blade in the Resolute 7-pack. Here are a couple of pictures.

Pics are a bit too small to see the head mod.

Hey Fast Draw,
I've been looking for those Elmer's paint markers everywhere. Where did you get yours from? By the way how is the quality of the paint? Does it stay sticky, or does it dry nicely? Is the paint glossy or flat? Are you able to handle the figure after it drys without ruining the paint job? I've been using Sharpie water based paint markers. The paint comes out being flat and it flakes off when you handle it. I was hoping that the Elmer's paint markers would be much better.

Thanks.
I didn't really mod the head. It's the CS SE head painted black. That's all. If you click on the pics, they show up bigger than just in my post. I attached them as files instead of hosting them somewhere else. Quote:

I used it on a vintage Shockwave BP (for the Night Force/Walmart figure) and I had to touch it up a couple days later. It seems fine now though. |
