This is my first custom post here on Hisstank, but I've been customizing for years. I thought I'd share this one with you.
A few months ago I made a Rise of Cobra Roadblock to add to my collection. The head, torso, and arms are from the Reactive Armor Heavy Duty, and the arms, legs, and belt are from the Heavy Weapons Specialist Heavy Duty. Had to sand down HD's hair, smooth it over with Apoxie, sculpt the beard onto it, and then paint it. For more photos and a full description of this custom, check out my customs page: Mint Condition Customs This one is also the most sentimental custom I've made to date. Mostly because in the process of making this custom this happened. When it happened, I had to take a break from my comic because even though it didn't happen to my drawing hand, it still hindered me pretty good. And just to let you all know, after that incident I went back to it the very next day and finished it. My girlfriend was pissed that I picked the knife up again, but I was feeling very accomplished that I didn't let my injury stop me. Anyway, enough of that. I hope you all like how it turned out. Thanks for looking! Last edited by Mint Condition; 02-10-2010 at 07:22 PM.. |

man, razors ain't no joke, i sliced my upper thigh cutting shims one day, brand new blade right out the packagei was kneeling down when it happened, so my skin was expanded. it was such a bad area, that it had to heal open, i couldn't keep it closed for shit, and luckily it didn't bleed, it was weird how it puddled on top of the wound and just stopped. i couldn't get stitches cus i wasn't going to the hospital, but it healed pretty damn good, a lot better than i expected.

just think of all the idiots that hide blades in thier mouth.. i wonder how many of them morons got sliced and didn't even realize it till it was to late. you don't feel razor cuts, it just happens then the skin just seperates.

Exactly right. When it happened, it felt like any other time I've cut myself working on a custom. It happens to every customizer at one point or another. You work with certain tools and get too comfortable then something happens that reminds you to stay focused. I just thought it was a normal cut, I cussed, grabbed my finger and sat down to assess the damage. I looked at my finger, saw it splayed open, and began to FREAK. |
