Hello to everybody! This is my first post here and I thought I would share some of my own custom work. I'll start with my oldest stuff first.
Enjoy and please comment! First up is a custom Storm Shadow I did quite some time ago before the 25th/RoC lines came out, so it has the old articulation. It was far from my best paintjob, but I also hit it with some washes and dry brushing. Head: VvV Cobra Commander Torso & Crotch: Cobra Coils Arms & Thighs: Dart Lower Legs: Ninja Battles Storm Shadow I apologize for the bad pic, but this was before I made my lightbox. |

Nice one, Mythic. That paint job is pretty slick, I can't wait to see what you've been able to do with the modern Joes!

On to more customs! Next is a Night Operations Kamakura. Same as before, made using old parts. Head, Arms, Lower Legs: Kamakura Torso & Crotch: Ninja Battles Snake-Eyes Thighs: Dart And then comes Lt. Stone... I cut the left thigh about half way, removing the sculpted holstered pistol and then cut Overkill's thigh and glued them before sculpting the rolled up pant leg with green stuff. I also had to sculpt a mushroom head to the arm pin of the Overkill arm allowing it to stay in place. Head: Spytroops Zartan Torso: Ninja Battles Black Dragon R. Arm: Kamakura L. Arm: Overkill R. Thigh: Ninja Battles Snake-Eyes R. Lower Leg: Dart L. Thigh: Modded Ninja Battles Snake-Eyes/Overkill L. Lower Leg: Overkill Last edited by Mythic; 02-02-2010 at 04:58 AM.. |

And now.. Cover Girl!
My first attempt at a custom with the new parts. I was not thrilled with it, especially face, though I did like how the extra strand of hair I sculpted to fall across her face turned out. Head: Desert Ambush Scarlett Body: DVD Pack Lady Jaye Arms: Desert Ambush Duke Legs: Comic Pack Scarlett I wanted to do a version of Scarlett in the reactive impact armor, but in her more traditional colors. Head: Comic Pack Scarlett The Rest: Desert Ambush Scarlett |

FUMBLES!
"Possessing a Ph.D and coming in at the top of his sniper class at West Point, Calvin looked forward to joining the GI Joe team. Due to an unfortunate incident with a soda can while the team was considering a codename for him he was saddled with the codename "Fumbles". Fed up and disgusted he left the Joe team and joined Cobra seeking his revenge and a chance to show the Joe team firsthand just what a skilled sniper he really was..." I totally LOVED the skit from Robot Chicken with Fumbles, so I HAD TO recreate him for myself. I made with a scale soda can glued in and to sling his rifle. I cut off the head from the grappling hook from Desert Ambush Scarlett, poking the head into his back socket and using the loop the string was tied through to slide the carry handle of the rifle into so the rifle and sling are fully removable Entire Fig: RoC Wetsuit. And finally a RoC version of Lady Jaye... I was using some older paints for the upper body and so not too thrilled with it. I guess this could be considered more of a work in progress as I am going to re-paint her and match the head and neck skintones. I like how the pants and boots turned out though. Head: DVD Pack Lady Jaye Body, Arms & Thighs: Desert Ambush Scarlett Lower Legs: RoC Breaker (I think) |
