I completed these figures a couple of years ago, but decided to share it with fellow tankers after I saw the publicity still from the new A-Team movie. I thought that everybody looks great.
These 3.75 inch figures were created by combining the heads from the original 1980s Galoob figures with ARAH GI Joe figure parts. Extra details were sculpted with Milliput--an essential tool for customizing figures, as its durable, sets fast, and can be sanded and tooled after drying. Some modifications were also necessary to join the heads to the bodies. I put Tunnel Rat to good use, as his straight leg pants were essential in achieving the "civilian clothing" look of the figures. I just used a dremel tool to remove the equipment detail on the thighs. Chuckles was also useful--his upper body was used for Face. (Hannibal's is v.1 Wild Bill, Murdoch is Dart, and B.A. is Big Brawler). Hannibal's coat was sculpted with Milliput, as were B.A.'s chains (with sheet styrene used for the jewelry detail). The figures were finished with Tamiya and Testors acrylic paints, airbrushed and handpainted. The AK-47s are from Marauder. These were really fun to make! If you have a problem, and no one else can help, maybe you can hire the 3.75 inch A-Team! Last edited by denversaur; 07-06-2010 at 08:16 PM.. |

Umm...
awesome? Yep, that's the word I was looking for. Hard to remember, but wasn't the original B.A. figure kind of skinny in a tight green suit? With no swivel arm? These look so dynamic by comparison. Nice job here, very classic feel to them. Fun fact: I brought the 6" A-Team figures to Show & Tell. What an 80s thing to do. |

I've seen these before. They are incredible. Of course, with all the fodder available now, you could make a set with little or no sculpting, except maybe the cigar. Probably wouldn't have to paint a lot either. Hmmm, crap, now I have to find my A-Team stuff. An Indy jacket for Murdock....
