You could also remove the "tattoo", not just paint over it. I saw how-tos posted on the forum here, using some kind of alcohol. I think the Resolute SE is grey, but that may be because it's hard to do a pure black character in a cartoon. I guess it's a judgment call which color figure is truer to the show, but it's clear he's not all one solid color on Resolute.

You can use at light dab of lighter fluid on a cloth to get it off really easily. The acetone in nail polish remover works great also. There shouldn't be any need to worry about the arm since it is molded in grey. Good luck!

I switched over to Target SE so that I wouldn't have to paint anything. To tell you the truth the dark gray didn't look too bad though.

To remove the tattoo, use a product called Goof Off. It dosn't eat plastic as fast as nail polish remover and works better in my expeirence. Just apply a little to an ear swab.
I'm in the middle of customizing one of my CS SE's to be more Res accurate and so far I shortend the blade and sheath of the sword a tad, painted his goggles metalic, ereased the tat.

dont use lighter fluid or nail polish remover as it melts and deforms the plastic
also the gray CSSE looks awesome with a marauder gun runners famas if you wanted the black csse to look resolute like paint the sholder pads with tamiya German gray and the knee/elbow pads the same

The figure needs a repaint! Look at Serpent King's sig and then look at the figure.

yeah... there is no quick kit bash for a perfect CS SE, essentially you need to figure out what grey paint matches the upper torso and then paint the pants that color.
