Hey everyone,
Joined up a while back and have had a few great trades here on the HISS, so thought I'd post a couple of customs I finished up a few weeks back. I've done a ton of SW-based customs over the past few years, but these are more or less my first attempt at really doing a 25th style Joe. They're more or less head-swaps, with some minor paint apps, part switches, but I'm happy with them for the most part. First off, I'll start with 3 members of what might become a 4-member commando team (depends on when I can get around to working on the last guy). I really liked the Jungle Assault version of Ripcord, as the camo really seemed to resemble the current Marine digital fatigues... So he's obviously the basis for each of these customs. Here are the pics, I haven't come up with any backstory for any of the guys, but have some temporary codenames for the time being... Backblast - Bazooka/Demolition Breakpoint - Team Commander/Ops Recoil - Designated Sniper/Cover Fire

And lastly, I'll toss in another headswap, Codename: Plane Jane ;)
That's it for now, hopefully I'll have a 25th version of Sci-fi, as well as an updated, 80's style Jeep to come in the next little bit. Thanks a lot for looking, let me know what you think!!

I really like those! The code name Plane Jane was, to me, brilliant! I haven't heard that one before. Great pun! My favorite is Recoil although they all look great.

Thanks Melissa!!!
I'm glad you like the Recoil - he's actually my favorite of the group too, as popping on the Para-Viper head on him is what gave me the whole idea to being with. Thanks for the kind words on the hair for Plane Jane. It was from some old playskool or something lady action figure from the 70s I found at a goodwill. It had that nice stylized/not too detailed look of the 25th figures, and definitely had a time-warp blonde "flip" for her to show off. LOL

Looking good. Did you have to do anything to the Ripcord body's hands? I opened one and the hand makes it hold the guns at an angle, it's odd. Is it like that on all of 'em? Making me not want to buy more, and it's a great body to use.
Using the Snow Serpant head is inspired. Never would have thought of it.

Thanks Fireflyguy.... hehehe - yeppers it was the first thing that came to mind when I finished her up. I wondered if it wasn't too corny/punny, but seemed like a good fit for the 80s Joes. ;)
