...Since the Repeater Hasbro released is nothing like the Repeater I had as a kid, I took matters into my own hands and built my own. I'm pretty sure he started out at Sgt.Stone (but I just grabbed him from the 'bin-of-joes' so I'm not 100% sure) Head is Pit Commando w/disguised ROC Zartan hat scalped and glued on-top. Found the gun in my joe accessories and used a bit of model plastic to stick it to his belt.... The camera flash really brings out the paint misses, but I've re-touched him enough times that you can't see any bad spots when he's on the shelf.... so here's.... Repeater

Much more in line with how Repeater ought to look. He was always one of my faves when I was young! I think you captured what was distinctive about him with this version.

Thanks Guys. Yeah, Repeater's look is about all he had (which was enough to make him one of my favorites too). I had the comic issue he was introduced in, but there's still not much more to the character than the "look". So it was a little disappointing to see Hasbro just throw a random guy in a box and call it good when he's really such an easy character to kit-bash up old-school style.

That looks awesome! I'm a sucker for all the sub-teams. I wish they'd bring Night Force back, but if I could paint like you I wouldn't have to worry about it. It looks like you got the original steadi-cam machine gun, too. Great work!

Nice colors. I like that you went Night Force with him.

I had no idea my Repeater (when i was a kid) was NightForce. These are the colors I always assumed he came out in. It wasn't until I was looking up a ref. pic to do his paint job that I found out he was in NightForce colors. Glad you like his look!

Nice!
I cannibalized the 5pack Footloose + Serpentor's head to make my Repeater. |
