Hello.....I have been making these for a few years for myself but I recently decided to see if you guys might like them as well. Alot of collectors that I sell figures to locally on Craigslist show me pictures of their personal collections displayed on shelves. Well, I feel my work is professional and decided to see if any of you would be interested in purchasing one of my displays. The one pictured is huge. I can ship but it will be a pain. I wanted to post this here because im also posting it on Craigs and Ebay. But I wanted it here first since you guys are the experts. I want your honest opinions. Also, if you do not want one this big, I will gladly make them smaller and you can send me a pm telling me what you want...waterfalls, snow scenes, rock ones like this one, desert scenes...etc. This particular set I call the Battle of the Bridge. My digital camera is shitty and doesnt do it justice. And as you can see it could hold many more figures than I have pictured. This thing takes up my whole kitchen table that sits four people comfortably. If you are interested in this let me know. Im in Raleigh NC.

I would add some weathering to the gray rock, it looks too plain like that. like, paint it black, then dry-brush all the gray onto it, then dry-brush some white for high-lights, then give it a few washes of different browns. That will definitely let you sell it for more money, though it looks pretty good as is for a more animated-like display.
Also, wouldn't it be cool if you could embed some foot pegs into the moss? They'd be hidden and give the Joes more places to stand securely. Last edited by DrNightmare; 01-04-2010 at 01:36 AM.. |

Impressive work. All you 'd have to do is add a backdrop and you could make stop motion animation. Have you contacted the museums or local colleges in your area? I'd think they'd love to have you create and set up displays for them.

Correction on my previous.....i have those pics on my work computer so will add that thread in the next day or two. But yea, as i look at the photos, the rock definitely needs some, whites, blacks, and light grays added to the detailing. I have about 20 mores pictures of this on my facebook if any of you want to send me a friend request so you can see them. The email to search by is [email protected]
