What would you suggest using for the mechs in the comics? I was thinking about using Revoltechs and repainting them.
Do you think that would look good? Can you guys suggest anythings else? |

gi joe has their own mechs. during the spy troops period there were two mechs made, one for cobra which was grey and one for joe which was green. If you are looking for pictures of these i would go over to yo joe.com and check the vehicle archive. I think repainting those would and figuring new ways to use them would be awesome.

I agree with Hicks on the first three - total Gundam. As an example...
http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/p...ail&picture=in ...could easily be made to look like the Roadblock mech. The 1/144th scale kits would be too small to be vehicles for 3 3/4 figures (although they could be super-B.A.T.s.). The 1/100 scale could work with Joes, though.

It all depends on what scale you want.
If you want them small around 6" their are tons of Gundam and other Japanese kits you can kit bash. If you want them in scale with the figures that's a little harder. I did a bunch of research on this before starting on my S.N.A.K.E. mecha. I found some solutions but they are expensive, $100+. The best one I found was Takara's 1/18 scale Votoms. They fit the Microman figures. These are awesome, with a couple of tweeks your done. I'm saving my monies for one of these. There are also Masterpiece Gundams that are 12" tall those would work nicely. |
