Right?!?!?! I couldn't agree with you more, man. The minute I came home from vacation and saw this bad ass piece of cobra weaponry...I almost RAN to HTS to buy another ROCC so that Apac could paint it ![]() |

I was thinking since the ROCC I recently picked up was so cheap I could experiment w/ customizing mine as well...but w/ all of the "glass" around the cockpit...how does one not get paint on the areas that you won't painted...esp. when using spray paint?

Fly, buy some masking tape, and tape off the windows...works every time ;)
Be careful though, if spray gets between the tape and the window, it will be a godawful mess, thanks to the glue on the tape. I've learned that the hard way, lol. |

Exactly.
Masking tape is the way to go, but take your time putting it on. I always go larger than the area I want covered...then cut it back with a utility knife. Before painting...make sure every centimeter of it is pushed down flush on the glass. The other areas you don't want painted...you can cover with tape, or cover with newspaper then tape it in place. Best advice I can give you is....if the vehicle you want to paint can be disassembled, do so. It saves you lots of time in masking...but you will find with the ROCC, the wheels are on very tight, thus I left bottom half of it the stock color.
