I'm trying to get pieces together for a custom, and wanted to know if there are tutorials ( i have searched to no avail) on interchanging arms and legs-like putting one set of upper arms with another set of lower arms- without breaking them-or just tutorials in general?-Any help would be appreciated!

For arms and hands, just boil and pop. takes a few seconds and mix and match. Now if you are asking about torso splitting, I cannot do that to date!

use a hair dryier, to hear the plastic, then you can remove them with quite some ease.

There used to be a sticky thread about tutorials, but it's now gone... Ah well...
Arms, Hands, and Feet all pop out, but it would be safest to either soak in hot water (I've tried this with 95% success) for about a minute before popping, or, as another member suggested, use a hair dryer. To put them back in, all you need is some elbow grease. Torso splitting is a bit trickier, and requires some simple tools. The method I've tried (and have also been 95% successful with) is using a vise/large locking pliers and a towel/sock/thick cloth. Wrap the figure or torso in the towel/sock/thick cloth to help prevent damage. Place the figure in the vise in such a way that the torso is gripped at both shoulders, or both shoulders are the only ones touching the opposite ends of the vice (the point is to squeeze the shoulders inwards, like giving a guy a bear hug while his hands are down). Squeeze the figure slowly in the vise, until you hear a crack, and voila! The torso comes apart, and is now a pair of arms, upper front torso with neck, upper rear torso, and lower torso. If you don't have a vise, then locking pliers (what I usually use) is the next best thing. Set the width of the pliers tips to the width of the torso from shoulder to shoulder. Then wrap the torso in the towel/sock/thick cloth, place between the pliers (only both the shoulders should be touching either side of the pliers, or the figure is gripped at the shoulder points, same as above), and squeeze (it is a pain to squeeze, and I usually place the whole thing on the sofa, and put my entire weight on it), and voila! Torso comes apart into the pieces mentioned above. Just a note - Splitting torsos in either the way mentioned above, or any other way, will most probably result in at least some very minimal damage to the torso. The upper front and back halves are factory glued together, so, to put them back together, just use super glue, and you should be fine. Try the method above. It isn't foolproof, as, I must admit, I have wrecked 1 torso out of 12 (or something like that), but it is pretty successful.

I use the blow-dryer method. Just heat whatever limb you want to seperate(arms or legs) for 30 secs or so. You should notice the plastic has softend. At this point your heated limb should come apart with ease.
