I hope they make this one, they are already planning to make the GI Joe Mech for the POC line.

Uh, who's idea was it create a brand new mold for such a tiny helicopter (the new Dragonhawk) instead of re-releasing the old Dragonhawk. Oh yeah, lets put the Rhino out instead...

Thanks for the tips gang. I'm gonna look for some Mirage seats now. They look perfect for cockpit seats.

I removed the cockpit insert completely on mine, and built new interior pieces using sheet styrene.
Nighthawk's mod is great, making use of the existing insert while accomplishing the same thing I did--to create leg room for the figures. That's the most important part of the modification. I was able to get a little more leg room for the forward seat by using a dremel tool to cut out the front bulkhead (leading to the turret and minigun). If you do this, take care not to cut or damage the wire that leads to the LED in the gun. As long as your "pilots" are figures that came after the 3rd or 4th wave, when full leg articulation became the standard for the 25th Ann. line, they should fit just fine. In my version, the pilot (forward) sits with their legs straight out, while the gunner/ops seat requires the figure to be bent at the knees and hips. I've really enjoyed seeing all the different Dragonhawk mods. @Alleyviper: I hope this helps! Last edited by denversaur; 07-06-2010 at 08:17 PM.. |

Looks great! Everybody's custom pics look like the 'Hawk was made for 25ths. Well, it'll be a little while before I begin work on my 'Hawk, but I'll definitely post pics when it's done.
I'm currently working on a Conquest X30 that I'm paint-scheming to Roy Fokker's veritech fighter.
