And here are Six's team:
I think it is interesting that some of her work was a lot more subtle than the other two. She gave them code names and specialties (well, she told me what they do, and I related that into specialties) as well as a team name. Team Name: Rescue Team-1 Tiger Stripe - (Team Leader) He sneaks up on the Cobras to save the person in trouble (notice the subtle "highlighting" on his jacket. all her idea) Lightning Blast – (team Communications Expert) – She works on computers and reports to the Joe team Last edited by General Hawk 7; 12-01-2009 at 11:19 PM.. |

Falling Cloud – (Paratrooper) She jumps out of airplanes
(again, notice the subtle "highlighting" on her shirt and pants. She just did this on her own, I was quite surprised) Gasoline - (Mechanic) She fixes vehicles Six said "Watch out! They are tough!" Next I let them do their own dioramma. So I will post those pictures... But first I gotta eat supper. Last edited by General Hawk 7; 12-01-2009 at 11:20 PM.. |

Wonderful idea! I do have to try this with my son...!
And your kids did good as well! There is a, how do say this...? An abstract kinda feel to it, and may even be worth millions on eBay in a few years...! Ok, maybe I may have exaggerated about eBay, but I really can appreciate what they've done... EDIT: I just saw Six's work, and I must say, nice callsigns! I specially like Falling Cloud and Gasoline...!

So I told my little artists that they could make a dio.
(This was mostly Six's doing) Here we have Rescue Team-1 fending off an attack by Cobra and Iron Grenadiers. The bad guys havent got a chance! Last edited by General Hawk 7; 12-01-2009 at 10:49 PM.. |

All in all, I was VERY PLEASED with how this turned out.
They kids had a GREAT TIME. They got to really engage their imaginations and had fun doing it. It was also a lot of fun for me. Even just talking to them about their creations and hearing how each was approaching this at their different ages. I highly recommend this to all you dads and moms (or even big brothers and sisters, etc). It's a lot of fun and a great way to spend time with your little ones. If you do, be sure to post them here and share them with the rest of us! I hope you all enjoyed these! Here are a couple more shots from this proud parent. Thanks for looking! And YO JOE!!! Thank you all for your comments. I'll be sure to read them to the kids as they come in.
As for paints, they just used my Citadel paints and basic Wal-Mart paints found back in their arts department. |
