i am starting with the stock lav and repainting to be a custom crimson guard lav.
i jus got the lav in the mail today and i've already broken it down to most of the basic parts. they used LOTS of glue on this thing. the palstic is also very SOFT. I've already cracked a few peices:( i already have the krylon burgundy spray paint. i'm also waiting on the traded for crimson guard figure as well. i have not seen any wave 4 or 5 figures in my area ever so i had to trade for one cg until i can find and buy enough for my team, or trade the items in my post in the buy/sell forum... |

Sucks you broke so much. I only cracked a little when I disassembled the Turret.

yep, i broke the turret as well. those two pegs at the muzzle just did not want to sperate.
most if not all the cracks will disappear with painting and or weathering. nothing really bad broke or cracked yet. i still have the muffler to remove which is proving difficult. the front lights/mirrors are being troublesome as well. it took a good hour or more to get the gas cans, back packs, and other gear off the side. the up side is, there are much less screws than the bradleys had. it's a much cimpler assembley other than the front steering/wheels. the hardest part i think will be removing the tires which is almost essential inorder to get good coverage with spray paint due to the small spaces. i'm just afraid i'll end up bending an axel shaft or something which is critical in that you can't remove the axels or i have not found out how you could. i am happy to know it's much less flat surface to paint however there are many more small peices so it may take just as much time as the bradley. i only have one can of paint so i'm hoping i can get it done with just that. i still have not ordered the stickers from ruben for this project either. i'm a bit concerned as i still have not received the order for the bradleys and it's been 3 weeks. there is no way to track the mail from him and i don't want to have to reorder another $20 or so in stickers. |

Where did you get the LAV? I went to Target and picked up the Bradley M2A3 today, but I couldn't find that particular one anywhere.
Thanks for the assist.

they Clearanced them out starting before Christmas. I think I got the last one in Phoenix judging by how hard I had to look to find one.

a forum member was kind enough to pick one up for me. they had them clearanced for about $12 at his local target! i've seen a couple around here but never for less than about $17.
i managed to get the tires off with a prybar(screwdriver) last night. i'm not exactly sure how to get them back on without damaging the painted finish or bending the axel but i'm sure i'll figure something out. baring torrential rain this weekend, i hope to begin painting! |

I almost bought one on-line yesterday and then remembered that Target sold them, but, I coudn't find any clearance ones. As I mentioned, I snagged a Bradley. Before Christmas is a lifetime in the world of toys...
Maybe I'll get lucky. Thanks for the information, guys. I appreciate it.

I got Mine for $17
As for the wheels just be firm and steady and eventually they will go back on. As for the paint I had no problems with the rims and the wheels.
