it looks like you have alot of good going for yourself there, but have you tried the salting method for digital camo yet?

I haven't tried the salt. I tried it awhile back (10 years!) to simulate paint chipping on aircraft models, and it was a pain in the butt!

The pattern isn't bad at all.
The all-black equipment just stands out so much, it overshadowws the effect of the camo paintjob, though. It will look way better if you'd paint the equipment in olive drab or coyote tan with an inkwash and some drybrushing on top. A camo pattern is supposed to break up the silhouette of the wearer and blend into the natural surrounding colouwise. Since nature does not know jet-black as a colour the black equipment disturbs the effect of the camouflage by standing out like a sore thumb visually. |
