Tank: Annhialatum - Pg 7 Alley Viper Ghost Raptor: Extermis - Pg 8 Ewok "Thickel" - Pg 8 Lifeline (ROC) - Pg 8 12" Janine Melnitz from Ghostbusters - Pg 8 NEW! 1/13/12 Hello friends! Okay, after being inspired by several great customizers out there or rather here on Hisstank, I decided to give it a shot myself. Now, please bear in mind, Im new at this. Hopefully we will see a progression of talent here in my work as it hopefully gets better and better. That is my aim of course. And that said... I also welcome constructive criticism. (Especially from you pro cusomizers on here.) Even if its on the picture quality itself. Or what might look better on a certain figure. I explain some of my customs here. I think part of the fun (at least for me) is creating some information on the characters or why I did certain things to a figure. So expect to see some info on each figure as well. Well, I'll keep this first post updated from time to time as well, explaining what Im doing and what not. Also... Some of my customs are just plan parts or accessories swapping. While others are more advanced. ie. Sculpting and painting. So without further adue... I give you some of my first customs... (I looked at some of my first ones, I may want to "revisit" some of them) - Hawk Last edited by General Hawk 7; 02-05-2012 at 06:28 PM.. |

Hawk is my absolute favorite GI JOE character.
I know many have preferences to hair color (as did I at one point). As you can see I just stuck with the brown. I did try to repaint one head, but I didnt like how it turned out. So brown it is. I felt the needed some super cool gear. In my 'verse he is the character he was originally intended to be (comics). The guy that leads his team ON / IN the field. At some point Im also going to have to explain my Joeverse. It's a bit different and more sci-fi than others. Think Stargate meets GI Joe and you'll probably be near bullseye. While I know this isnt for everyone, Im not asking it to be. If you like it GREAT! If not... hey, to each his own and we all get along. Okay. So here is Col. Hawk. As a Col. He is leading the newly formed GI Joe team through the gate to a new world. It's a race against Cobra. (I'll give more details on this later) Last edited by General Hawk 7; 03-18-2010 at 04:15 PM.. |

More of Col. Hawk.
Again, I really love the character. In my mind, this guy is up there with Optimus Prime, Captain America and John Wayne. I always loved his Topps card. (I need to find it again) It said something like... "Hit him once, and he'll ask you if there is a problem. Hit him again, and you will regret the day you were born." (or something to that effect) He is meant to be inspiring. Battle hardend. The HERO. A natural leader who leads his troops from the front line. Giving his best and his all, right along side his fellow soldiers. Last edited by General Hawk 7; 11-17-2009 at 06:14 PM.. |

Next up is Selene. Yup. Everybody's favorite Death Dealer / Sexy arse vampire.
Again, my Joeverse is sci-fi oriented so she fits right in. The reason Im putting her up next, is simply because I just really like how she turned out, and have been wanting to post her since I made her. SO...here she is! |

The reason I did her was because she was screaming to be done. When I saw Helix and Scarlett, it just seemed so obvious. Also remember, this is NOT Selene from the movie. This is Selene on the GI Joe team. So I wasnt going for movie accuracy here. Here are a couple earlier pictures of her before I painted her. I am very interested in hearing what everyone thinks of this particular figure. This is probably my most advanced custom I have done. I think she turned out pretty well. And I think Flint would be very pleased. lol And yes, I can make another of these for anyone who might be interested. Inspired by another fellow Tanker: (IT LOOKS EVEN BETTER IN FULL SIZE) Well I do have more, but they'll have to wait for the time being. Thanks for looking! I too saw the new Pilot Pack and thought... Oh, there's a Lady Jay head! lol. Great minds think alike I guess! I REALLY like your Resolute LJ. I might have to try that one too. VERY VERY NICE! If anyone hasnt seen that, I highly recommend checking out Paul's Resolute Lady Jaye. Yeah, I just took two of my favorite things and combined them. I'll have to add more details to my verse at some point. Right now they are just floating around in my head. Thanks! I appreciate the feedback! |
