It's really all just the sponge and lots of passes with a lite amount of paint. It took about 20-30 minutes. Then I put a flat hard coat over it to stop chipping. I'm going to spray on the finish coat from now on. Because I lost a little detail when I brushed it on.

I like it. I think it looks pretty good. I tried the sponge method a couple months ago, but it wasn't anywhere as good as yours. I may go back and try it again now.

just use a brand new sponge and a little bit of paint on it. less paint the better and just tap it on. not hard, just a little pressure.

Looks good man, but I agree with ya, a couple more passes would definitely make it look less "patchy".
