Armed Terrorist: "Recalled? What you mean I was RECALLED! CURSE YOU COBRA AND YOUR FANCY STUFF, UGH!! I WANT MY JOB BACK!!!" Few months later... Armed Terrorist: "Finally! Now to cause chaos and get my butt kicked... What?! RECALLED AGAIN?!! ARGH, THIS SUCKS!! I want some damage pay for this!" Well, my black major custom bombed (Lost the hat, paint not looked right, etc.) as my original planned return to doing custom toys (and reminded me why I stopped in the 1st place besides costs), so I goofed around with other ideas, after gear swap the coat from PP Snake Eyes with the coat from Wolverine's Origins Sabertooth, I noticed the coat's gray-wash matched the arms. Then bought a ROC neoviper, and noticed it was sorta wearing a black turtleneck, then looked at my ROC CC and noticed the slacks. Then removed the helmet from a para-viper and saw the ski mask... Well, after seeing all those parts, reminded me of the 21st centary toys 12" Armed terrorist that after 9/11 was recalled from the stores I wanted to buy it from but could never do. The result as you can see was to make it in 1/18 scale, and after geting the chosen parts, I was pleased with the results though the 21st Centary one wore a jumpsuit and had a open mouth mask, but I like this version better. More Movie like. Just have to touch up the crotch and lower pant legs in flat black, but was pleased with the kitbash added to my goal in customs was to create another terrorist figure outside Cobra, Red shadows might been the original plan, but generic from movies and TV works. Sorry of the quality of the pic, the only digital camera I have is the cheap $30 one that only do decent pics in sunlight only, tried to sharpen the pic but the best I can get. it was also the only one that wasn't too sucky Parts list: Head - ROC Para-viper Arms - ROC Paris Pursuit Snake Eyes Hands - 25th Comic Pack Crimson Guard Legs - ROC Cobra Commander Feet - 25th Comic Pack Scarface Upper and lower torso - ROC Neo-Viper Coat - X-Men Wolverine Origins Sabertooth M-16 Rifle - 25th Comic Pack Duke vs. Red Star (I think) Bag - 25th Comic Pack battle-damaged Snake Eyes Gun from later pics - 25th Comic Pack Scarface Enjoy! Edit: added a few new pics with a new gun, don't have a AK-47, but the gun that came with Scarface prety close to one. Last edited by Amalgam; 10-20-2009 at 11:44 PM.. |

Thanks for the info. The biggest annoying pest for me, at the time i could had ordered mine thru previews at my comic shop, but didn't due to funds and had a Gen 13 Fairchild to have them get beaten up by, sigh.
BTW sweet setup, especially it looked like wolverine (hard to tell by toy profiles) is waiting to woop behind. |

Looks cool man! I got one of the originals off ebay after the first recall (I think I got it for retail price back then)
I need to find all my "Villians" figures, I'd love to see a 1/18th T-Gore |

I like it. Nothing like a good kitbash to get you back into customizing.

Shogi: Thank Shogi, Yeah, I found a link that had the pics of T-gore you mentioned, I never knew there was more then the armed terrorist and the 2 ladies. Sofar from the pic I might be possible to make some others in 1/18 scales:
Matilda & Jacqueline = PP baroness x repaint + ROC Attack of the Pit Scarlett's Head x repaint. The Ultimate Bad Guy = ROC Zartan or Pit Commando x Repaint + para-viper head. Beyond that, I'm caped on ideas based on what I have some access at. I originally planed to use ROC parts for later Red shadows, but I may do these instead... Once I figure out my stupid digital camera better. JediKnutt: Yeah, after my failed Black Major, I wasn't so sure I want to paint too much agian, and just looking at my formerly coat swaped PP Snake eyes, just started the complex kit bashing to fit together. I still like having him next to my resolute trooper like a past and present comparison. Just have to remember to get the flat black paint and clearcoat for the pants at some point, though the mixed black plastics still, heh. |

Is the reason why many of the Cobras have balaklava heads is because they are based off the traditional view of a terrorist?

Man I love standard real life villains. Classic baddies in plain cloths with guns and masks. You can never go wrong with that combo. Also they can still be urban cobra agents on an op. I love it.

Zoltron: Hard to say only Larry Hama and hasbro most likely know that answer. Though classic good marketing and story writing skills is make the characters familiar or feel some how related to you to be believable. If they seem too shallow or fantasy aimed (IE: Cobra La) it do tend to make them hard to swallow as a whole. Like Transfromers, though all robots, we must had encountered people at some point in out lives that act sorta like the charactors ether noble, wild, power hungry, brave or professional. I think that's why both franchises last as long as they do.
green_shirt: Thanks, funny at one time thinking of calling him "The Cobra Viper after budget cuts who got his uniform at Value Village" But he reminded me more of the Armed Terrorist the more I looked at him. |

Just took a few more pics of the guy and add a pair of binoculars to him. the Pics are still medocure, but I'm starting to know better the limit's of my camera now.
He's still mad at Cobra here as you can see aim at a Resolute Cobra Officer. From another angle. Hmm...Who will win in this showdown, huh? |
