Lin Who? Lin Kuei. Lin Kuei are the original stealth assassins from Asia. The ninja adopted the techinques and practices of China's Lin Kuei. Lin Kuei were farmers, who studied martial arts in secret and used their skills for espianoge, spying, and assassinations.
The parts don't matter much. I just used up left over parts from other customs. The unique item is the Gee (I probably misspelled it). I found this at A.C.Moore in the scrap booking section. It is made by Joule's Boutique. Only the arms had to be trimmed, because they were too long, otherwise the gee fits the figure perfectly. The gee was originally white, but since the figure was a nocturnal assassin, I colored it black with a marker. The nunchaku came in the same package, though the sticks needed to be shortened aswell as the chain.

Interesting custom.
Not to derail the thread or anything, but you do know that the "Lin Kuei" are fictional, right? The Lin Kuei first appeared as purely made-up characters in a series of obscure Chinese romance novels in the 1930s. Radford W. Davis, a fraudulent, self-described "ninja master" and practitioner of "mystic martial arts" who goes by the alias "Ashida Kim" is the main person behind the promotion of the Lin Kuei myth as historical fact. Ed Boon, the guy who created Mortal Kombat's Sub-Zero, apparently first read about the "historical Lin Kuei" in one of Davis/Kim's books. |

Those scrapbooking gis work well.
Obi-Shinobi first told me about them awhile back. They work a lot better with the help of decent seamstress. I picked one up and used it as a template for a black ninja. Those Ashida Kim books crack me up. GI Joe is more accurate about ninja than him, heh heh. |
