I really enjoyed Destro's mass market movie outfit, but the legs kind of bugged me. I know they were going for a sort of pseudo-nazi vibe with it, but it didn't really work for me. I switched the legs with the Iron Grenadier Destro. His "unmasked" head is the Xmen: origins Wolverine civilian logan figure. His medallion comes from a Star Wars figure in my parts bin, just painted red and gold. Basically, I was trying to go for a destro that combined what I personally thought was the best aspects of all his incarnations (Unfortunately, I couldn't fit the Star Force battle armor in there. I kid, I kid) It's basically the same colors as his standard garb, but a lot more muted. It's a relatively simple custom job, but I really like how it turned out. Enjoy!
I even gave him some removable Iron Grenadier Garb! It's made from the IG Destro's armor and cape and the DVD pack Cobra Commander's cape clasps. Because it's soft plastic, it conforms to his chest very well. If I can snag another ROC destro I'm going to give him an alternate gold head too. Here's a closeup of the clan McCullen shrine
It's made from a modified MU iron man and the shield and weapons come from some really tiny knockoff robot figures I got at a dollar store. Yeah, it's supposed to represent the iron mask that they punished the original Destro with. |

Oh, an update! I added a new accessory. Unusual, yes, but fairly fitting in my opinion. Last edited by Nightboomfer; 09-16-2009 at 08:29 AM.. |
