I've been toying with these for awhile. Depending on what you want to do will dictate how much to spend:
The Retro Mini Skate boards are a $1 a pop with a rectangle plastic container, but they have a large hole opening in the top. The Fresh Cherries car series will also run you a $1 + the rectangle container, but without the silly large hole in the top. There is a similar NASCAR series, but these are very overpriced ranging from $2 to $4 each. There are also mini (1/84th?) Hot Wheels toys that cost $0.75 each and almost no hole in the top, but the container is slightly angeled so that the top is smaller than the bottom like an isosceles trapezoid. If you don't mind the angle, the Hot Wheels are the easiest to find and the best deal. If you do mind, then look for the Fresh Cherries. If you don't care about a large square hole in the top, the Mini Retro Skateboards are damn easy to find at most WMs.

Those pics were seriously cracking me up. I never would've imagined having a 1:18 scale aquarium or terrarium. I guess no evil mastermind would be without his little pets. Great creative idea, man!

I collect the 1:87 toy cars (model train HO scale). Never thought about turning them into aquariums.
Cool. |
