Hit & Run and Barbecue might have been my brother's favorite figures growing up. I thought he was cool but I didn't play much with him.



So the base figure was already camo'ed but I got him loose, missing all his gear and his head. I swapped out his gear, gave him new head, hands, kneepads, and boots. I painted his helmet, face, vest, leg harnesses, kneepads, and boots. Face paint was inspired by this one I found on Taobao. Don't know who painted the Metal Gear custom.

Last pick is the kitbashes that were wip, including Hit & Run with his unpainted head and gear. Most of them are finished now.

Thanks guys! I feel the red goggles are counter intuitive to a guy whose fully camouflaged, but I felt it was a way to better align him with is ARAH version. I might try to paint the POC Jungle Duke head like the Metal Gear Solid head to give him an un-helmeted look.

Sorry, I just don't see the similarity. I was referring to the red googles on the face of my custom as a tie in to the red goggles on the helmet/head of the original ARAH figure. I was not referring to the PNVG's that came with the original head from JoyToy.

So what exactly are you taking credit for? Inventing PNVGs? They were developed by the Army/Navy in the late 90's. Putting them on an action figure? Done by some toy company first as we didn't custom make ours (I assume you didn't, but apologies if you did make yours). Putting them on Hit & Run? So putting modern military gear on a Joe character is your criteria for inspiration?

Ok so by that standard my 4" Bludd kitbash and back story inspired your 4" Storm Shadow and Classified Bludd. Seeing as how I must have inspired those customs, you're welcome.

Lastly, haven't you spoken out against people posting their work in someone else's thread uninvited? I'll let it slide this time, because if you hadn't posted it I would have never seen it. Nice custom. I don't understand the purpose for the shoulder pads; seems like they would impede head, neck, and shoulder movement while climbing. But it is original and it does look cool.

It's like Sean Connery saying sissy (sheeshee). I took it from Japanese "men of high purpose" samurai activists during the Meiji restoration. A silly moniker, but I've had it since the old Devils Due GI Joe forum.
