I have finally finished my 40th Anniversary Set (one year late) for the Cobra half of Tyco's GI Joe Electric Trucking set. The set included a cargo truck, a Jeep, and two tanks. So here they are, slightly updated and topped off with some ARAH-style Cobra soldiers and officers, as well as the Cobra Battle Robot from early Marvel.

The Jeep and two tanks also overlap with Marvel's GI Joe #1. I'd need a halftrack added to complete that set.

I've never done four back-to-back vehicles before. It's getting addictive.

The second tank is almost identical to the first. It has a Baroness and Lady Jaye backpack set hung on the side of the turret. This provided a bit of visual reference to the Jeep, which has the same. I also added stickers to the back of both tanks.

Okay, the Cobra half isn't exactly finished. I'm working on a "playset" for the Cobra side, too. It will include a few very unfancy figures. Then onto the Joe half...

At first I thought these were going to be the actual toy train vehicles but are these made from scratch?

These are upscales/updates of the vehicles in the set, now in 1:18 scale.

Lots of different sources, but the paints and stickers tie them together for the most part.

The robot sat uncompleted for years, headless. Then 2DARK2C of joecustoms sent me an Indiana Jones Sankara sandstone (I think that's what it was called?), which was the perfect base for the robot's head.

Thanks! I enjoy making "breakdown" artwork like that, or the piece of faux rear box art for the Cobra Brackish Waters boat playset from last year.

The cage in the rear of the box truck was built around either dinosaurs or big animals originally, so it didn't look right until I put the Battle Robot in it.
