Vehicles Light up 25th MASS Device

Years ago in 2008 I made the 25th Mass Device's Beam Emitter light up with with a pen light and it even made it to the front page of the Tank (https://news.hisstank.com/2009/01/03...-s-device-7899) sadly Photobucket deleted the images. I had plans to add a 9volt powered super bright (at the time) 3 led kit to the underside as well to light up the material tubes. But the kit I bought blew its fuse during construction and I put it aside for what turned out to be years.

The pen light finally gave up the ghost a few years back so I've been meaning to upgrade it to LED for years and finally got around to it.

While browsing a Dollar Tree I found some super dirt cheap Christmas 10 LED light strings with their own battery pack for $1.25. LED lights have come a very long way since 2008. The LEDS and wires are small enough and durable enough I was even able to drill holes into the Beam emitter to snake the leds through to light it up while maintaining its ability to turn 180 degrees. Something that would have been impossible back in 2008.

The tube materials are a broken clear red plastic bead for the Red Crystals, A clear blue glue stick carved to fit in the tube for Heavy Water, and some yellow sand putty for the meteor.

Here's the messy installation, keep in mind the Mass's underside was cut out years ago for a much bigger kit and larger LEDs than the kit currently inhabiting it. The wiring is completely covered up by the treads when snapped back in place so I'm fine with it being a mess of hot glue holding all the lights and wires in place lol.

These are the lights if anyone's interested. Hard to beat $1.25 for a 2AA powered 10 LEDs kit, circuits, and a battery pack. I'm also in the process of using them to light up the lights in my cobra lab behind the Mass Device.
