Figures Comic Shaded Cobra Commander

Something very very simple, seeing as I'm in the middle of moving and can't really do any extreme customs at the moment.

I recently got an extra v6 Cobra Commander for like, $12 AUD (or $8 if you're a yank) and thought I'd paint it up to look like the Marvel comic, specifically the one from the crossover between it and Transformers G2.

As you can see, the highlights are mostly on one side since that's where the light would realistically be hitting him if the light was where I envisioned it, that being up and to the side a little.
I used Vallejo Game Colour for the paint, specifically the black (for touch-ups), silver (to replace some scratched silver paint), Magic Blue and Ultramarine Blue (Ultramarine Blue for the base highlight, then Magic Blue for an extra bright spot). The renewal version of the Game Colour silver is by far the best silver paint I've ever used.
The matte clear used was Mr. Hobby Premium Top Coat Flat which gives an insanely matte and good looking surface.

Finally, a comparison between this custom and a CoCo whose thumb I restored from scratch.

I like it. CC was sporting this look at the time I got into Joe comics, and you did a great job capturing it. Now I want one.

I wonder how it would look if you'd fully commit to a blue wash inside of the black. This looks nice, but I think you could take it even further.
