Slice,
Love what you did with this figure, as he looks like a great jetpack trooper! That being said, I am not a fan of General Hawk being in this position (not against your work, just thought the ARAH version should have been another character, as it doesn't fit Hawk (I know, they made the face to look like the '86 version of him), especially as the General over the Joe Team; would you really send your leader up in a flight suit with a jet pack to be in the fight?). The way you made him, he looks like a younger guy, which I like, as I would have made him into a new character, like a "Space Cowboy" or something like that. The head has a bit of a look to it that is unwavering, and ready to take on whoever invades his airspace. The flight suit looks perfect, and the colors are a spot on match to the original figure's. And that jetpack! The weathering on it is done beautifully! Great work on this! Again, this isn't a critique of you or your work, just Hasbro's throwing a figure out there for name recognition to sell the toy, rather than being more creative, and making it a new character when they released it. -Todd Shakka85 General Hawk has always been a red-knuckled badass ready to jump in the fight. It is mostly his sense of responsibility which keeps him behind a desk, but when he has the opportunity to get back out in the field, he takes it! The team isn't letting their leader put himself in jeopardy. No, rather he is taking the 10,000 foot view of the battlefield so he can call the shots more swiftly and accurately. His flight suit is not an engagement-oriented combat tactic, it is a high-altitude command center. From the air he can command battle tactics much easier and with more precision than from a command room. And though he is small enough to not be identified as a target by the enemy, he is not defenseless in case anyone tries to put a bead on him. Hawk is fearless!

I like this one. That version of Hawk is a cool, often overlooked figure.

As a kid this was one of my all time favorite versions of Hawk, and I used him to pilot the Giant Robot from STAR BRIGADE once it came out. This looks killer, and I like the 10,000 Feet explanation for his leadership too. Learned a lot of good ideas for this figure WHEN Classified makes one too.

What I don?t understand is how anyone could hate on the one guy who has set a bar so high for GI Joe, Hasbro themselves pick off the concepts and produce it in their figures? Giving this community art and lore for free just to collect spite from kitbashers and born haters is crazy. They should be thanking me for leading this pack. At first I disagreed with older members leaving or letting casual haters get in the way. But I now find my self agreeing with the ones who left and get why so many up and coming customizers hate this community now. Guess the truth hurts from both angles.
