My Felix Leiter figure got pretty close to looking like Jeffrey Wright. I wasn't able to replicate that luck here, but that's okay. I mostly needed a Bond to photograph with Jaws, so I put Bond in a brown suit for the early '70's look. Roger Moore wore a light tan suit in some scenes and a brown one in others, but the brown one had a striped salmon shirt under it, and I can't paint lines that tights- so I just went with blue.
I used the most Roger Moore-ish head sculpt I had, which happened to be a starwarsgeek cast of Renegades Duke. Had I resculpted the hair to the pushed-down wave that RM always had, and painted it a bit lighter, this figure would read better as being RM's Bond. As it is here, the facial features land in between Sean Connery and Roger Moore, so I went with darker hair to make it a generic Bond. Working on this figure, I realized just how similar Roger Moore and Clint Eastwoods' facial structures are. Even found some photo of the usually saucer-eyed Roger Moore squinting that made it more obvious. If I had two of that Renegaes Duke head, I would have sculpted one with Roger Moore hair, and the other with Clint Eastwood 70's hair to make this a "choose the head/gun combo" to make this custom work as either. But I didn't, so you get generic Bond only. This is the first time I've used a Marauders suit body, too. They are wonderful. Next time I use one I'll have to rotate in different legs or hands just to feel like I'm customizing a bit more. |

That looks great. The head makes me see Archer rather than Bond, but that's not the end of the world. Nice work on Jaws too.
