Here’s an extra post for today.
In 2016 I made Trapjaw based on a cast head i had somehow acquired. The head was cartoony but I still loved it. The figure used parts from over 10 different figures from at least 5 different figure lines. When I took the pic of Skeletor and his henchmen, Trapjaw looked out of place. So I looked for a new head. I found the head on Cults3D made by Nacho CG for a statue he designed. (https://www.instagram.com/nachocg3d/) I reached out asking if he could make a file of just the head. He got back to me very quickly and had gone into his files to extract a head file. He added it to his statue files, I bought it, printed it at 70%, painted it up and HOLY HELL I freaking love it. Since I was changing the head I decided to change the hand (from War Machine to Colossus) and gave him some new hand attachments, I also added a couple spikes to his shoulder cause why not. I need to retake the group pic now. More pics and bio at link https://sgcaper1.wixsite.com/atrfrom...llains/trapjaw

Thanks HM. Much appreciated.
Here's today's figure. Baron Ironblood. Now, I didn't know about Action Force or the Red Shadows when I was a kid. I discovered them when I was older. Honestly, the 5 poa figures never did anything for me so I never thought about them. Then the Skeletron Kickstarter dropped and hot damn! I went "All-In" on that. I figured it was time to learn a little about the Red Shadows. More pics at the link: https://sgcaper1.wixsite.com/atrfrom...led-category-1 A couple years ago I made some original "Red Shadows" characters to use up red parts. I included them in this group shot. I have Gyre Wolf, Wolf Trooper, and the Skeledrones as well but I haven't opened them cause they look so damn good on the card. L-R: Red Terror, Red Dragon, Baron Ironblood, Red Major (JoeCon Custom), Red Shadow Trooper Here's a bonus pic. Snagletooth mentioned that my Zanzibar needed a spear. I agreed. So I found one but didn't like the spear point. I cut it off and found a harpoon in my parts bin, cut it off and put the spear shaft and harpoon tip together and now Zanzibar is nearly complete. I'm working on a custom Air Skiff and a custom motorcycle for him.

First of all, I *love* the Joe/Battle Beast customs, so please don't ever stop making them. It's two of my all-time favorite lines coming together. The HEAT-Viper is the standout here, but they all look great.
I love the Baron Ironblood custom. I had the opposite reaction to the Action Force figures when I discovered them as an adult: I wasn't into the 5-POA-ness of them, but I loved the simplicity of the designs and the uniformity of the figures within each sub-team. But, that said, the original Baron figure has a truly weird costume, and I like the way you translated the design into something more plausible. The group shot is impressive, too. And, the spear! It's beautiful: it fits perfectly with both the figure and the hammer, and that photo brings the whole thing to life. I love this take on Zanzibar. |

These MotU customs you've been doing are very cool. That toy line was my first love, and it'd be a dream come true if there would be a 1:18 scale line.
Also a solid looking Baron Ironblood! The original Red Shadows characters in that group shot look cool as well. |

I agree on the simplicity of the original figures and the uniformity of them. Thanks! I went back and forth with the figure trying to find the combo that worked for me. Thanks! I'm really happy with the spear. Quote:

Been on vacation. Got back late last night. Took some quick shots of figures I finished before leaving.
The Ghostbusters. I wanted my team to be recognizable but since they now live during the ZomPoc in my verse I made a few changes. The biggest being giving Zeddemore a belt and pistol. Since the novelization explained he was in the Air Force before joining the GBs (something my buddy told me about) I figured he'd be the natural fit to carry a sidearm. I went back and forth and I think I'll give him a rifle with a sling as well but I'm not 100% sure. I need to take more pics, especially with the Ecto1 I have. But here's some quick ones.
