Like any fan favorite character we grew up with, they pave the way for new concept or reimagining for creators.

Example:
Spiderman- miles morales, spiderman 2099
Venom- spawn
Deathstroke-Deadpool

Or just reimaginings. In some cases the new concepts enhance an older design.

That?s what happened here.

Firefly is my favorite GI Joe character and I want to create my own original concept, while respecting his original design, utilizing artists to create off that, and then give my new concept a story. So I did all of that which you can check out here:

As for the figure himself, it was a labor of love.
Meaning, torso swaps, leg swaps, feet and hand swaps, accessories , hand swaps dremel, cutting, sanding, modification, preps paints and protective coats.

The final product is my favorite version of firefly to date.

As a bonus, I don?t limit myself to one scale. So group shot for the different levels.

2096 or 2023, the right-up-to-the-eyes mask is a wonderful tightening of the traditional mask. Perfect concept and execution.

What a piece of garbage! You chose the worst character to make your favorite character, and then you produce this wretched creation... Pitiful...

...and of course that is totally the opposite of how I feel about this custom! Slice, you have a way of making each version of Firefly unique, yet totally recognizable as the same character (or in this case a character who has taken the namesake of that character). Your paints are smooth and clean, as always. The parts are thoughtfully selected, and the colors match the original uniform almost perfectly! I dig both of the masked heads, so don't ask me to choose which is better. I do like the addition of the headset on the one though. I could go on and on, but I think you get the picture, that I think this is brilliant!

As a kid, whenever I would draw any hero, I would add scars. Beautiful women? Scars. Haven't ever grown out of it. They add such character, intensity, and history to a face ... in fiction and real life. All your Firefly figs are top of the line.
