In the past I would have done a head swap and some mods and call it a day like you see below.
![]() But I finally broke down and started painting figures. My biggest hesitation was that I still enjoy posing (playing with) my figures, so joint rubbing or wear was a concern. I also don't have the greatest eyesight; not too bad. Just bad enough to make fine details, like eyes, a pain. So I went for it, and did this: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() One of the figures (I ordered 7) was missing a leg, so I made a battle damaged leg, arm, and head with the addition of Hasbro's battle damaged B.A.T. head. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Hope you enjoy.

Really great stuff.
I'm so unfamiliar with the 1:12 scale/Classified figures that I can't tell what these are sourced from? All Classified? Is there some Fortnite mixed in there? |

Thanks sisco and Clockwise

The forearms and hands are from a different Fornite figure. The battle damaged one has a hand, hip, and foot from a 5 POA K-2SO figure (along with a thigh and knee made from fodder of a JoyToy exo-suit). Lastly is the Joe in some of the pics is a Retaliation Roadblock I turned into this character last year: https://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-j...tesdragon.html You know Clockwise, your customs pull from so many different types of figures (Great stuff by the way, especially Miles Mayhem) I'm surprised you didn't immediately know where all the parts are from. Then again, they constantly put out a lot of Fortnite figures. Thanks again for the kind words, Cheers!

I love the atheistic of the Fornite figures, and I've weaved a lot of the gear/guns into customs over the last year or so. They are perfect for breathing some new life into otherwise old parts-based customs.
But the figure parts themselves, though, tend to be just a bit too large for the range of my customs. I used some to make a James Bond Jaws, which worked perfectly for a behemoth character, and just used some feet for Miles Mayhem, who needed a bit of bulking up. Blending the FN parts with the K-250 looks like the parts were made for each other. I didn't even realize they were Star Wars parts in the mix. The flat chest plates look so much like the Classified BATS, that I wasn't even sure of the scale. Big thumbs up! |

Two questions
1. What fortnite character did those bodies come from 2. Do the heads fit nicely, or was there sanding or puttying involved

The reviewer notes that the elbow articulation is limited and that is very true. I changed the lower arms to Fortnite Raven's lower right arm on both sides. I don't know how much they are elsewhere, but many Fornite figures are $1.50-$10 in China currently. A.I.M. and Raven are less than $2 so I'm going to do a few more of these and maybe a different Battle Damaged B.A.T. Question 2. The heads are helmets from a JoyToy set I reviewed: https://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-j...ited-anna.html The only problems are: 1. The set and the helmets are virtually impossible/too hard to find or not worth the price today (on the plus side the the set came with 7 helmets in two sizes; see the review.) 2. Being helmets they require a head underneath. I have many blank heads I can simply paint black or glue the helmet on. 3. The neck post on the A.I.M. figure is a bit long, so many heads won't work straight away. Hasbro's 25th B.A.T.s work ok without modding but they sit a little high to me (see the first pick in this thread). The Battle Damaged head is a 50th Battle Damaged head. I shaved down the neck ball a little to get it to sit low enough. Then I took one of the JoyToy helmets and cut it to fit around the Hasbro head. I really like the look of the helmets I used, though I also like how sleek the original B.A.T.'s head looks. I might make a one off Inferno B.A.T. with the red one I have. Hope this helps.

Question 1. The character is called A.I.M. Here's a pretty detailed review I found: https://www.preternia.com/2019/08/ja...-a-i-m-review/
