Hasbro's missing a beat by not giving the OG13 Joes the red turtleneck when the have had the chance. It looks great on your Grunt.

I understand that Classified Grunt comes with a Steel Brigade helmet, but has anyone at Hasbro explained why Grunt is being conflated with Steel Brigades?

Any good head canon out there? Is he now the designated leader? Are they all his rank so he got folded in?

I look at it as the standard issue helmet for the Joes.

Originally , the idea of SB was intended to make you a part of the action with a "personalized" action figure. As time moved on however, they took over as the "green shirts" from the sunbow cartoon. Folding Grunt into the SB seemed rather inspired, and I loved the idea the minute I saw it as SBs are the "grunts" of the team. - I see what you did there, classified design team! Also, if these guys (and gals!) are probationary members of the GI Joe team, Grunt seems like a good NCO to lead them. One could argue that Beach-head would be better suited to that role (based on Sunbow canon), but this gives Grunt another dimension besides being THE green shirt infantry man.

Or I'm just overthinking this whole thing, and this was just a ploy by Hasbro to make Grunt a troop builder figure and bolster sales.
