That looks quite futuristic, and offers more protection to the gunner, while still leaving him visible (important for action figures). Another very inventive custom and very cool!

The links are to both source toys: the Plasma Drill and the truck. Both now $7 on Amazon. Well worth it.

The barrel is from a mechanical pencil.

The frame work that supports the barrel is from the leftover boom arm on the back of the lightyear truck that I used to make a fire tug.

Turning the Cannon OD green was disassemble, prep sanding, washing with hot water and Dawn dish soap and sprayed with Rust-oleum Camouflage 2x Ultra Cover. Then minor brush work.

The hard part was waiting the 7 days before reassembly for full cure on plastic.

The only issue was the small antenna on top. That is rubber and the spray paint never fully cured. That was repainted with acrylics and a brush.
