Yeah, I think she's a neat character, and like I said with my Cover Girl custom my nieces inspired me to try and add some more female Joes to my team. Shooter was an obvious choice!

Yeah, I find the boot swaps to be pretty handy for these figures. A lot of the time you don't want accessories on the lower legs, and I think it's a more elegant solution than trying to fill in peg holes and doing sanding and painting. As for the parts list, when I start on a project like this I like to figure out my recipe visually before I commit to collecting the parts, which is also handy for anyone interested in following along or putting their own spin on it.

I really love how the poncho worked out and I should see if I can work that material into any other projects since I lave quite a bit of it left. It was about $10 for a yard of it.

There is one last thing I might do with this project. Someone recommended to me that I airbrush some matte varnish on her since her skin looks a bit glossy in some of the photos. It would actually be a very easy fix so I'll probably do it next time I'm airbrushing, which will be pretty soon.

Quick update on Shooter. I took that advice I heard and gave her skin a coat of matte varnish from my airbrush, and that made a big improvement. Her skin isn't shiny looking anymore and she photographs much better.
