Pulsar is a figure from the 70s that I was too young to ever have. Billed as The Ultimate Man of Adventure he had cloth clothes and once his shirt was taken off his gimmick was you could see his internal organs through his clear chest. He was more in line with the "doll" timeline of figures before Star Wars made 3.75 inch the preferred scale. Apparently he was Mattel's answer to the 6 Million Dollar Man (of course Hasbro answered with Mike Power Atomic Man). He looked like a fun figure so I decided to take a shot and make him in 4 inch scale.
Pulsar Along with his other bionic counterparts from Hasbro and Kenner 60s/70s group shots GI Joe Adventure Team: Mike Power, Joe and Bulletman, Steve Austin 6 Million Dollar Man, Captain Action (new legs and a repaint of Zicatoys figure), Big Jim, Jet Jungle, Major Matt Mason, Action Jackson and Pulsar. All the same as above only added two awesome figures from Fresh Monkey: The Hidden (Micronauts) and Super Joe.

Right on. See through chest is an interesting gimmick, but I'm glad you created it for this custom. Good stuff

Lots of fun!!
I might be mistaken, but I believe Mattel then recycled this figure (or at least it's head) as a Colonial Warrior for its larger Battlestar Galactica line... which was just one figure? |

Haha, I tell you that I want to do some doll homages and you just knock the entire group out before I do one! These all look fantastic, I definitely will need to add some to my collection.
Pulsar is so cool, he?s not one of the guys that I was familiar with so really cool to see him here. Love his logo, that came out great. Then the see through chest was a fantastic touch for the alternate look. So awesome! Then those shots with the other Bionics (who I need to make) and the full group (of which I need to make several)......those are the things that always make your threads so much fun to just get lost in because you get awesome customs and visits to the past.
