Yes this whole line up is super clever, the use of the classic torsos truly make them upgrades of the originals. My brothers & I had Hawk growing up, & I picked up Power & Chase like a decade ago... Among all the custom goodness you give us, this is still among the most inspiring!

Thanks. No way to duplicate them so figured they were actually in this scale might as use them. Had to be really careful as those things are fragile. I actually shattered Tank's torso trying to open it and had to piece it back together and do some sanding etc to fix it back up.

I always wanted to do some Captain Power customs and use those wings. My Tank Ellis was just gonna be a Halo Master Chief, because I'm lazy. lol

Those would work. For now probably just sticking with this group as they were my favorite, but if you've followed my Best of the 80s thread then you've seen me say I won't complete this team or that and I always circle back around to them.

Captain Power was a while back so I honestly don't recall but that gold wasn't fun to work with. I now use Vallejo gold and it works really well and I would recommend that.

Yeah, that was the problem when I did my set as well (https://imgurDOTcom/kbmTAaC - no, I don't know why Scout isn't in this picture; I wound up doing the water guy later, but he's not all that close to the original figure). Not wanting to sacrifice any vintage CP figs, I wound up printing a line-art version of the logo, colouring it blue with a highlighter, and then putting clear tape on top of it to approximate the look.

Mind you, mine were just the product of an afternoon with a couple metallic markers and my junk parts bin - EG, I never got around to sanding down the logo on Scrap Iron's helmet and I was just going for POC-style "squint test" updates. You actually put in a lot of effort.

Oh, man, these are great. I loved that show growing up, I even had one of the VHS tapes. There's a local over the air channel here that still plays the show on Saturdays. I hadn't seen it in decades until recent years. Great job!

Funny thing is when I saw the thread title, I started humming the tune to Captain Planet as I thought these were those figures. I was wrong, and it turns out I don't remember anything about Captain Power. Duh!!! Nice customs again!!!

Told you before, Tank directly inspired my Star Brigade Destro so you know he is one of my favorites that you?ve done across all of your lines. Then the blending of vintage & new parts are seamless. Fantastic job as always!
