Hi all-
Figured I would work up the nerve to post my first custom. I have always enjoyed creating my own figures, backstories and such, but pretty much just kept to kit bashing. I like to base them on a friend or family member, then build out their story on how they work with my team. As you can see I have mimicked aka stolen many ideas from the fine folks on this site. People like Slice, Axon, Ozzie, Rob etc. There are so many talented folks here that really set the creative bar high. First up is Todwick: A man of few words with a thousand yard stare, Todwick has seen many battles. Skilled as a marksman, and an expert in small arms fire, he is an asset to the team on the battlefield. An IT specialist with communications and hacker abilities, he can disrupt enemy transmissions and create disorder in the enemy HQ. Facts: Todwick is an expert chef, and has been known to bring a frying pan into the field. Head- Joytoy, needed to find a head to match the person I based this one. Body- Kwinn - repainted neck down, then just dirtied up the boots. Gear- Mix of MGR, Joes and Joytoy items. some custom parts along the way. I give this one a solid 1/10, so that means I can only go up from here!! Thanks! https://ibb.co/554hGvf https://ibb.co/gPFgx1c https://ibb.co/3cNP7dY https://ibb.co/Tc2zZ3g Last edited by NSSMACK; 01-18-2023 at 09:40 PM.. |

Dude this is cool! The real life parts like the tape and fabric really add to it. The dirty on the boots looks good too. Solid work.

Todwick looks cool! He's a fine addition to GiJoe.
Don't sell yourself short. He's painted well and I dig his gear. Also interesting how young he looks. He looks like a little arrogant newbie who is well skilled but would need his ego knocked down a peg or two (just based on the face).

That's a perfectly fine custom, my man. I know of guys doing it a lot longer that aren't as good as that

Yeah bro. I echo everybodys sentiments. That?s a damn good figure. My first was of course, classified quick kick since he seemed perfect for a beginner. Lol! Well, I ruined that ML Shang chi with a damn black sharpie! Could not get that sticky black stuff off.(Turned out that he makes a badass movie storm shadow imo). And in my first pic post, all my pics were cockeyed sideways too. I was just holding the phone vertically lol. So keep working on it. I think it?s a pretty fun hobby. And I cant do the 4 inch dudes so props and respect bro.

I haven?t been doing it THAT long, but you are right. From a solid Two-Star customizer, Welcome, my friend, to the show that never ends! I, for one, welcome all who have the guts to put themselves out there.

Lol, bro.
I’ve seen dudes here twice as long as you not do as good of work starting or currently. For your first piece of work, you killed it man. I know ever part your used, even where the soft goods came from. Paint is not bad at all. Keep Up the great work! Also Thanks for the shout out.

Thanks for sharing your first custom...no way this is your first attempt at customizing a figure??
Love the story behind the character and I thought your paint stills are way more advanced than many who've been in this game longer that you have. Creativity is self evident, great work!!
