Vehicles Mercenary Mercedes & Crimson Guard G-Class

Two very nice Mercedes-Benz G-Class toy vehicles modified into fitting 3 3/4" action figures.

Three of my recent action figure acquisitions are gearing up for a mission in the Mercenary Mercedes. Either a heavy machine gun or a sniper rifle can be mounted on top.

If I understand correctly Crimson Guardsmen are, among other jobs, the accountants of Cobra. I guess they found room in the budget for a new ride! That big bazooka'ish thingy can be mounted on top next to the machine gun if needed.

Those look really cool!
Will they fit modern 4 inch figures? Most of the figures in the pics appear closer to 3.75.

Looking really nice! What are these vehicles? I do not remember ever seen them used by another collector.

Those DTC Crimson Guardsman (and CLAWS Commander) were abnormally tall for their time. I THINK modern figs would probably work?

Unfortunately these vehicles are designed for 3 inch figures, so out of the box they wont fit any Joes at all. I had to take them apart and cut out leg space for the front seats as well as sawing a hole in the top. But once modified they ought to fit most Joes. The female JoyToy figure is 4 inches and fit nicely, only the width and thickness of the CG's are a bit of a tight fit, especially behind the steering wheel.

The vehicles are made by 'Dickie Toys' and the series are called 'Playlife'. The red one are from a 'Horse Trailer Set' and the other one from a 'Hunter/Ranger Set'.

Thanks! I think that a luxury geep like that is the perfect fit for Crimson Guard.

They do come in nice colors! Will stick with these two, but for a little while I was also considering getting one in white to do a winter vehicle. There are also at least two pink versions available, could be a nice Zarana vehicle I guess. Especially the 'Unicorn Trailer' variant is almost in some freaky Dreadnok color scheme to begin with!
