Cobra's response to the Infection is to eradicate the infected, thus covering up their role in the outbreak. Cobra Contagious Outbreak Interdiction Legion or C.O.I.L.



Some within Cobra's ranks call them the "Leaky Suit Brigade" or "Plague Troopers" on account of their assignment. They've taken to calling themselves Headhunters, as they have a running tally of eliminations. At the end of the operation, highest count wins. Under the leadership of Sebastian Bludd they've racked up quite a number.



Bludd came to Destro after the catastrophic injury to his right arm. His early generation cybernetic prosthesis was advance for its time and did indeed return him to fighting form. This current generation of cybernetics is so advanced Bludd had Destro's doctors replace his left arm as well. Some think Major Bludd insane for having his healthy limb removed, but he saw it as an obvious logistical and tactical advantage. Enhanced strength, dexterity, reduced weight, and minimized chance of infection do to injury. Not that he won't miss his arm, though. After all, he did write a moving elegy for it.





I gave Bludd a jetpack because it looked cool and Bludd version 2 that was supposed to be part of Eco Warriors came with a jetpack. I see it more like a short flight jump rig with collapsible stabilizer wings. Not as capable as Falcon in the MCU, but great for getting out of a hairy situation to an elevated position or for quickly flanking an enemy.



Darklon and Grimskull are along for the ride, rounding out the leadership of this elite Cobra Unit.



Made up from the best Alley Vipers, Range Vipers, Eels, and Snow Serpents, Cobra C.O.I.L.s are ruthlessly efficient, except on occasions when they draw out engagements just for fun. I mean, they do love what they do. The only thing that would make this better for them is if they get the opportunity to "disappear" all of E.C.H.O. Team.

Thanks AWOL! I've had 3 of the Hell's Grim Reapers for well over a year I think. It's a great set, but a little too devoid of color. I mean they're basically a dark navy-gray with black armor and exo-suits. The only colors were bits of white, gray, and red on the vests, weapons, and helmets. Curiously this set didn't even have any kind of paint wash or dry brushing to bring out detail that JoyToy does on all their figures (over does it a lot of the time).

I recently picked up one of the 3 individual releases from late last year. Pictures made it look like the figure was flat black with a a gray wash, but his was actually the same navy-gray, except his belt was unpainted. Don't know if that was an error on not. I just stole everything but his helmet for other customs and added him to this group to bring them up to a nice size squad of four.

Working on Cesspool, Corrosion, and hopefully two Toxo-Vipers to team up with them.

Awesome! Especially Bludd! I love those cybernetic arms and have used them in a custom of my own. I wish the figure they came with wasn't so expensive, though, because I would like to grab a few more of them.

Great looking group of figures! Major Bludd is a favorite from the line, and love seeing updated versions of him. Those skull helmets on your COIL Troopers are cool; are they from JoyToy? I don't keep up on stuff like I used to...

Not the author, but yes they are Joy Toy. There are 7 figures in that squad. 6 with these red faced helmets and one with a white faced helmet. One of the six is a female. It's probably my favorite JoyToy team.

Thanks Fall! Yeah I hope they at least re-release the non cybernetic one down the line. Currently it's only available with a mech that runs about $100 over here! Don't have the room or disposable income for to stomach that.

Spot on. Except my one criticism is the first 4 came with almost no paint apps only the belt and boots on the male figures and the female was even missing paint on her neck. I did a review of them almost 2 years ago, but only recently decided on how to use them. https://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-j...tesdragon.html I don't army build much, but I like to have small squads of four for my Cobra soldiers.

2 of them I didn't alter the bodies at all. All of them have painted gear and modded vests. Major Bludd is a bit more of a custom. I just like the look of them together. I stole their backstories from all over the Cobra faction. Maybe I should give them motorcycles and ATV's to tie back into the OG C.O.I.L.s name.

I'm trying to conceptualize a Cesspool, some Toxo-Vipers and currently working on a Repulsor with an even stronger tie-in to Sludge Viper.
