No Outback yet, haven't found the recipe I want, but I have the recent (and mostly excellent) Freedom Militia figures released.
So this is a very easy Beachhead using parts from all three of those figures with a POC Steel Brigade (Beach) head and the SB Delta driver helmet. The torso, arms, waist and legs are FM 02. The hands, feet, vest, belt w/ right leg rig, are FM 01. Finally the neck covering, left leg rig, kneepads, rifle and holster are FM 03. Only paint was on the upper boots to black and some detailing/weathering on the kneepads, helmet, and pistol. This one poses even better than most figures because the torso articulation is not hampered by the vest.

I mentioned the conversation I had with AWOL about the use of JoyToy helmets that helped inspire this series of figures. Welp I'm starting to run out of more 'Joe looking helmets (I've still got Cobra's in the works). So this next group work to keep the zombie horde contained to metro of Springfield, Mass. To the northeast is Boston and to the south is New York City. The also work as resupply and coms for Echo in the city, because something (someone) is interfering with the teams communications (even satellite).
ECHO Perimeter Team: First up is Hollow Point Hollow Point is 5th Generation Armed Forces. He had just just retired at age 37 when the outbreak occurred near his home town. So the Marine sniper loaded up and went to see if he could help. He saved a few Joes on an early recon mission and was asked by Hawk if he'd join them to serve as a guide and support. Hollow Point accepted on the spot. Hollow Point is a survivalist through and through. At bit of a MacGyver building improvised gadgets and tools. He's able to rebuild disabled vehicles getting them running again under impossible circumstances. Recipe: Some Thor head, Viper Squad legs, Freedom Militia 01 torso, arms, and FM 02 hands, submachine gun, sniper rifle, belt/leg harness combo.

Not Tiger Force obviously, but love the concept of a Joe version of Firefly. My Sabre Tooth is a Green Beret who excels at infiltration and sabotage. Code Name comes from his proclivity to large bladed weapons.
Recipe: Gregson - torso, arms, and hands Freedom Militia 01 - neck covering Freedom Militia 02 - vest, kneepads, and forearm guards Freedom Militia 03 - legs, left thigh rig, and belt JT Zombie Worker - lower boots (feet) POC Storm Shadow - masked head (I think) Early JT Figure - unmasked head Fodder - right thigh rig and weapons Only paint is on the rifle and the boots to better match the uppers and lowers. They nearly match, a little weathering and silver to the uppers is all it took. Stormy's head had some sort of black hair out of the back of his wrapped mask. I cut away and weathered it to make it look like the wrap covers all the way around. He's very posable:

Quick drop here... I posted a different Flint awhile back and I included my Stalker in some of the shots. The body was entirely the ROC Beachhead with the custom Stalker head you can see below. I only had Stalker version 2 as a kid, so I'm partial to the beanie over the beret. I liked some of the elements of version 3 and 5. This blends each of those 3 figures.
The baddest MoFo in G.I.Joe Watch your mouth! What? I'm just talkin' 'bout Stalker

Man, I am really liking this thread and these figures. I like how you are keeping them mostly Joy Toy, and finding ways to make them the classic Joe characters. It's something I contemplated doing a few years back, but it's too much money for me to spend here in the US--most of which would be blind trial and error without any prepurchase study of parts. So I'm very happy you are doing this, especially sharing updates with different and new figures/parts.
As you keep building and posting your results (especially for my T13), and as more loose figures/parts become available, I know I'm going to have to start making my own JT13 following your lead. Your Stalker is awesome really. It's nice to see someone pushing the wool watch cap look over the beret, and is something I'm trying to do now (at least in my mind), but failing even myself, as I grew up with his OG beret look. Maybe I need to go with the modified Resolute/POC head you use. Also, we can see the colors you are currently using look great and are a nice blend of the various o-ring versions of Stalker (black, green, camo). I only have issue with the big feet, which I have been seeing more of on a bunch of Joy Toy packs. Maybe I just need time to get use to them. I hope you don't mind the critique (might be more in the future)--it just means I'm really getting into these builds (for future reference)... |

Here's a comparison pick with some updated figures I may or may not post. Tunnel Rat and Shipwreck are a perfect size in my opinion, while the others are just a little large to varying degrees. Hollow Points feet look great with his larger head. It's mostly the width as opposed to the length. Here's Stalker, Shipwreck and a Hasbro figure I'm going to zombify. I actually think the feet are about the same scale as the latest Stalker and Grunt from the Walmart exclusives. All that to say I agree with the critique, but it's not as bad as my photography makes it look. I was more bothered by some of the proportion issues the hasbro lines have had over the years.

Tunnel Rats torso was black, mostly hidden by the vest, but I wanted it to match his sleeves. Mixed some military green with black and then gave it a black wash. Came out a bit glossy compared to the sleeves but turned out pretty good. For a Beach Head I painted the Mohawk cause the original paint job was bad, added the handlebars and soul patch combo to reflect the sideshow version a little. Painted the neck match the head. Got lucky on the color, a medium skin tone with a mustard color and a touch of burnt red and pale skin. Looked like ketchup and mayo before putting it on. I'm still using the neck covering cause his neck is sort of narrow. Shipwreck is the same with a new navy torso/arms and tan gloves. Thought it looked better for Delgado. That's it for now. Not exactly new stuff. Mostly sharing my first forays into painting. Got more on the way including a new Dreadnok in the Dreadnok thread.

Got a blank head from Taobao and painted it to match the JoyToy one but with his signature red visor/goggles. Here he is with Stalker modeling the original helmets. The blank is good but a little bit of the detail was lost in the casting process. I think I going to get more and paint them to coordinate with Joes I give them to like was mentioned in one of HissHissFangFan's threads. Also HHFF, note that Low Light has the same feet as Stalker but they look a little bigger on Stalker. Hollow Point got Low Light's old legs. I added a custom fitted vest, new weathered boots, and new weathered neck covering that allows for better head movement. I think something like this would have worked better as a version 2 Low Light.
