Wreckage - Sabretooth's bigger, louder other half?
Love the idea of a Joe version of Firefly, just didn't think it makes real world sense for him to be a copy and paste. So these two take the monikers. Sabretooth is more stealth sabotage, and Wreckage is more explosive chaos, and subterfuge. This is just a kit bash with some needed mods that turned out cool in my opinion. The head cavity was too shallow. The earlier figures had smaller neck ball joints so I used this head on a torso, arms combo that I put together for an earlier custom. The knees on this figure stuck out in a weird way. I think they weren't the original knees for these legs. I removed and trimmed it down in back; fits great now. The vest and belt are from the popular Gregson figure. The vest just barely fits, but it does fit this torso. The ankle articulation was hampered by the sculpt so I did the mod below; gives him better range of motion in the ankles all around. The foot holds the piece in place and it rotates with the foot now. Balaklava Bros

These are all great! The JoyToy stuff is so versatile. I've got a nice collection of them by this point but they're so expensive I always have a hard time pulling them apart for customs, but these posts are nudging me closer lol.

As you can probably tell from the figures you have they are often same paint for torso and legs (cost saving measure I guess). Many times I just start with swapping torsos on figures and outfitting them from there. A simple head swap got me 90% of the way on my Low Light custom. I did do a custom combo for the legs on him, but there are enough base black figures to do it without that change. Most of the time my customizing is more kitbashing/painting their gear. I've only just begun to try painting large portions of figures. So no harm in just part swapping as long as you're careful in warming up the joints for disassembling and reassembling. If you have an unfortunate broken joint I can try to hook you up with a replacement joint/s if needed. PM if that happens. Good Luck, BD
