Hey everyone! Long time no see! With the Phantom figures from Boss Fight Studios shipping out soon, I figured this was as good a time as any to do a custom on Doc Savage. I love the character and I know the rights to make him into a figure must be insane, so I wanted to give it a shot myself:
I've mostly used Boss Fight Studios parts with a custom head and Green Stuff used to make the torn shirt and piece of fabric on the arm. Painting-wise, I tried to mimic the old paperback covers with his bronze skin. As usual, I'm not too keen on the eyes, but overall I'm happy with it. I may re-do the shirt at some point. We'll see. |

Sorry to say I have no idea what this is, but you have absolutely nailed it! Thanks for providing the cover art in the background for context. You don't have to give the backstory as that's what the internet is for...I'll have to check it out now as I'm intrigued.

Thanks, BatesDragon! I appreciate that.
He's a pulp character I really grew to love. |

Solid take on Clark. I call him Clark, ‘cause we’re tight like that. He seems like exactly the kind of character BFS might tackle if their heroes lines sell well.

That's way cool! If you dig Savage, you should check out Manly Wade Wellman's John Thunstone if you haven't already (and can find the stories in print somewhere...maybe an ebook).

This is nice. Doc Savage is the best. Literally. He's the best hero at whatever he does, and if you do it better then it doesn't matter, because he will still be better at it.
He's the inspiration for Superman, Indiana Jones, Joe Colton I'm sure has some of his dna. Everybody. I bought a half dozen of his novels for my nephew but I don't think he's been able to pull his face out of the video games long enough to read one.

Looks great.
Then there was that time Hasbro spliced the titular character of this thread with Captain America and Sgt. Rock, to create the homunculi that is...Sgt. Savage. Last edited by AWOL; 03-02-2022 at 08:46 AM.. |

You all are too kind.
I just got my Phantom figures from Boss Fight in the mail and figured I'd stand him next to one to see how he'd fit. When I take some photos, i'll post them here |

And here's Doc and The Phantom, using the Zorro H.A.C.K.S. stand as if it were part of the Hero H.A.C.K.S. line
