With the new Marauder Nam stuff and a great Dime Novel Legends figure coming I figured the world will be flooded with new Wild Bill customs soon enough, and there was no time like last weekend to polish off this build that I've been sitting on for over a year. So here's MY take on Wild Bill v. 1. I thought he'd be fairly easy to paint (no eyes!), but boy that Raginspoon belt has some wonderful detail and even the basic Hasbro vest I put on him had plenty to pick out in terms of painting. I ended up really enjoying this project. Here's a look at the detail on the vest. It came from my fodder bin, so I'm afraid I don't know which figure it originally came from. Not an exact match for either the original ARAH or the Modern era vests, but I figure it got the point across just the same without being too busy. The belt, on the other hand... Not simple at all. This sucker probably took me two hours of painting, correcting, and painting again. Thank heavens for the magnifying lens on my Ott Light! Oof! Wild Bill, please give the lads a turn-around! And, since I know there are some folks out there saying "Didn't this guy have a fancy hat?" I can provide that version, too! Thanks, pardners! Hope you enjoy! --Erik |

Solid across-the-board bro paint looks even, shadowing looks good. my favorite part about this is how you did an aged dry bone on his belt buckle

Super cool & terrific job! I'm such a half-asser in comparison, I just used the belt off of a Woody Harrelson Star Wars figure.
