I completed my first Eagle Force/RIOT custom, Savitar, in 2011.
After finishing the production figures Mego released, I moved on to make customs of the unproduced figures based on the designs posted over at megomuseum.com. I lost momentum along the way, being dazzled by Fresh Monkey Fiction's figures, which made my set seem unnecessary. But I kept at it, slowly. Just over a decade after making Savitar, Top Kick completes the set. I stayed true to my own interpretation of Mego's metallic gold as instead a three color camouflage using gold-adjacent colors. There's a dash of metallic gold as a nod to Mego's figures. Last edited by Clockwise; 12-30-2021 at 09:51 PM.. |

That is so awesome. Love it!
Do you have a group pic of all of them?

Nice work! The bigger arms from the awkward Joe Vs Cobra/Spy Troops era actually work on this figure better than the arms that were on that ME torso. And I really like your camo choice for the figure, too. Great work!

Awesome job, really liking the camo on him, the detailing on those little light brown specs are really impressive.
Great job finishing your group, always gets tough when you are in the middle of a project and then you start seeing official versions or down the road parts you’d like to use. Just happened to me seeing all of the Vietnam, Fresh Monkey & Roboskull stuff.

Thanks, all.
Yeah, it's weird when an actual toy company starts down the same road. Hopefully Fresh Monkey Fiction doesn't touch Remco's The Bad Guys soon. No, I haven't taken any group shots yet. Need to do that. There are few of the older one I want to do some touch-ups on first. |
