I actually like the potential with these new improved articulation Retro Joes.
With this project I decided to turn a GRUNT into a 1/18th version of the 70s/80s 12" PALITOY ACTION MAN with Box. The Cardboard 1/18th Scale Action Man box is custom. The head I actually did, have moulded and cast and paint. I also swapped Grunt's boots for Stalkers (Again Love this new touch Hasbro). However I swapped the hands. I have never liked these style pegged hands, so used Joytoy Wrist Pegs and then Modded the Grunt hands to fit the Wrist (Waste Not) pegs. Much better range of articulation. Lastly the one thing I hate however Hasbro is this insistence for "Frankenstein's Monster" Arm articulation. So i modified the chest sides to increase arm movement over the chests, as shown. |

Nice! Is that the "GI JOE" head from the club adventure team figures?
And did you just sand/file/dremel away some of his pecs? |

I found the Hasbro Anniversary Adventure Team head is Way too small or would have happily just utilised that. |

Very nice, I wasn't planning on getting a Grunt figure, but I might do after seeing this. Very good work adapting the head.

@steve2477, Thank you also. Appreciate it. @ponygt, Thank You So much. Thank You and the head came from the Anniversary GI JOE Soldier. I Sanded off his m1 helmet to a Bald head (made a cast of that) and sculpted hair (made another cast). Need to sit down and do a Beard version and cast that next. I found the Hasbro Anniversary Adventure Team head is Way too small or would have happily just utilised that. |
