http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...waps-joes.html the online exclusive stormtrooper 7 pac has awesome heads. i used one for a snow job. i put the biggs head on an unhatted cutter which aint accurate but i think looks cool. and i put that draco head on liftticket which i think looks pretty good. good stuff tho here. i forgot about that baron fel head. thats a great one for airtight. and that officer with the gray moustache is great too, but im not sure i'd use it for wild bill unless i repainted his hair color |

Generic troopers don't bother me so much, or if a helmet obscures the head, but when I have Slipstream and Tripwire being twins, and Gung Ho, Leatherneck and Cutter as triplets, it really bugs me. So I've switched the head on my cutter with an IJ head, and I painted the correct goatee on Gung Ho, but what happens when you're making customs? Star Wars and IJ heads are perfect. I think eventually the Marvel 4" line will make some great donor heads, once we get past the initial waves of all the iconic heads like Wolverine, Spider-Man, etc who obviously don't work. So far, I've only bought 3 Star Wars guys, mostly for their heads. Which gets pricey seeing as how SW figs are pricier most of the time. They've already been listed. I've used Antares Draco for Thrasher, General Obi-Wan for my Monkeywrench, and Biggs Darklighter for Footloose. The good thing about the Biggs I used is that I got the black-suited pilot version, and I used his chest-electronics-pack for my upcoming Airtight. Not many of these are my idea by origin, but I've seen them done before and decided to use them for my customs, or I've done mine and found out later that others had the same idea, so at least I'm not alone in my thinking that they work. The upcoming Avatar line has a really cool Marine guy who may make my definitive Duke, with a little modding to cover up a big gash on his head. |
