OK, so this one is minimal on the modifications, but since the Retro Cobra Officer has come on the scene it's apparent that Hasbro is never going to do this right. The closest we got was the tight-pants SDCC Missile Command version and that's just not good enough. I posted pictures of this figure before, but it was in dim lighting and I never put it in the "customs" section. I thought I should take a few photos for posterity and post the finished figure here before this guy heads to my BST though. Click the photos for full-res viewing.
Recipe: Head: DG Cobra Trooper (blue) Webgear: 25th Cobra Officer Knee Pads: 30th Law & Order (I think) Everything else: POC/50th Cobra Trooper I removed the original Cobra symbol from the chest and placed a silver waterslide decal from Bad Mother in its place. The silver is actually fairly shiny. Then I just painted the mask grey and put everything back where it belongs. I gave the Cobra sigil a couple of light coats of matte clear to protect the decal. It probably won't withstand a trip to the beach, but for everyday display it's protected enough.

Nice!!! I want to do this, but I can't do water slide decals.
I put female CO legs on the SDCC CO torso for my 50t+ CO. The colors almost match. The only bad part of that combo are the crappy forearms. I like yours better.

Looks good!
I did something similar awhile back ago - only 5x because I'm insane and needed officers for my army builder addiction. It's interesting to see a different take on almost the same idea! |

Nice Zap!
When posing this guy did you notice the right leg a little longer than the left? |

Thanks! And yes, absolutely the right leg is longer. It seems to be that way on all of the 30th/POC/50th troopers in my house. The right foot always looks like it's not inserted all of the way. It might be as easily-fixed as removing the foot from the leg, trimming the peg, and putting it back together.

Nice 30th/50th Stinger driver! Is that a 50th Viper (Viper's Pit pack) with Firefly lower arms?

Thanks! And yep, that's exactly what that is: 50th Viper Officer body with Firefly lower arms with the camo paint removed. I never fully "finished" him, but he's close enough that I guess I should post a thread for that one, too.
