Cross-posted from my unwieldy TMNT thread I started seven years ago (!!!), I want to share something that is almost unprecedented in my fourteen years and thousands of posts here at the HISS Tank: a custom I actually painted. Admittedly, it was just a simple paint wash, but it was my first, and it felt rather high-stakes, considering the toy in question cost about $200!
Basically, I popped the head from a Funko Pop Metalhead onto the Titans Return Omega Supreme for a behemoth I call either Metalhead Omega or Mega Metalhead (or, as a friend on Instagram suggested, Metalhead Supreme!): For context, that Donatello figure with him is about seven inches tall; Omega Supreme is HUGE! It was a rushed, sloppy job (I forgot to wipe the paint off his bicep, ha ha), but I'm pretty happy with the final result. At first I was fretting about the gray on the head not matching the gray on the body (except for the small bicep section, which is lighter, weirdly), but now I think I like that it's lighter. Cheers, Monte Last edited by Monte Williams; 07-26-2021 at 01:30 AM.. |
